entrance to the children’s library

This new multifaceted library for the City of Martin includes traditional amenities along with new innovative, creative areas. This two-story brick building is 35,000 square feet and consists of a fun and imaginative Children’s Library composed of an activity center, iPad stations, computers, and giant Lite-Brite, a board meeting room with a coffee bar and sink, a Tennessee history room, and study rooms. Patrons will also find a makerspace with a demonstration kitchen, media editing room, a state-of-the-art audio/video recording studio, and a teen zone where teenagers can play games, interact with friends, read, or do homework. The library has a 300-seat event space open to the public to rent, and a large 3,500 square-foot stage stands on the north side of the building to feature outdoor entertainment and bring community engagement.
